The CIMS 2 online learning module is hosted by TPP, for those who wish to gain an understanding of the New Zealand Co-ordinated Incident Management System structure (CIMS).

Completion of the online learning module should take approximately 6 hours (approximation only)
CIMS 2 is a pre-requisite for CIMS 4 training.
Please note that the date of the training on the calendar is not indicative of the date that you will commence your learning, or receive your material.
Learning commences when a sufficient number of expressions of interest are registered. Usually 8-10 registrations required.

The course will enable participants to describe:
- the roles and principles of CIMS 2
- the functions, structure, and terms used in the CIMS 2 framework
- basic CIMS documentation
- The course covers CIMS 2 terminology, the 4Rs, CIMS 2 Principles, Response levels, Incident Management Team functions, concepts of Control and Command and designated CIMS2 Facilities needed at a response.
The course is particularly appropriate for all of those involved in emergency management at a response level, including field team members and leaders.
