Waitetuna Wind Farm Trail Run - Fundraiser
This is a fundraiser for the local Waitetuna School and is in its third year of running. Last year Hamilton SAR helped out as marshals along the course. Our group received a generous donation from the event organisers after the event, and was good PR for our group.
We will be doing a similar job again this year and could always do with more volunteers. So if interested, please get in touch with Matt Sherwin or Russell. More details to follow once final arrangements have been made with the organisers.

Fund raising committee comments from 2017 event
A huge thank you to you all for suporting the Waitetuna Wind Farm Trail Run.
The event was a huge success, and it has been extremely rewarding to see the School children and community members use the recently refurbished School swimming pool.
Your time and expertise was incredibly appreciated and as it turned out very much needed. It was impressive how you all just swung in to action and because of this the outstanding entrant was quickly located and accounted for. It certainly showed that for your team it was just business as usual and you did it so well!!
Not only did you save us with this misadventure but also the photos. Russell the way you just put your hand up and spent countless hours snapping away is so appreciated and also for the time spent getting the photos up for public display. I hope that people donate generously and SAR make some money from your time and energy!!
The Waitetuna PTA greatly appreciate your generosity and a bank payment of $500 donation for your time will be transferred this afternoon.
